Encompass founders Nav Gill and Faizal Valli met while working together at a Vancouver accounting firm. Faizal was a tax specialist, while Nav was an assurance specialist. With their complementary skills and similar mindsets, the pair often worked together with clients. After several years, they took separate paths with Nav staying at the original firm and Faizal heading to an international firm.
In 2016, ready to strike out on his own, Nav purchased an accounting practice from an established Chartered Professional Accountant in Vancouver who was retiring. At the same time, Faizal had recently started his own practice. The pair reconnected and decided to form the firm together in the Summer of 2017.
They chose the name Encompass to reflect the all-encompassing approach they take when working with clients. They always consider both personal and corporate needs from each of their unique perspectives to give clients comprehensive and personalized advice.
