Nav Gill, CPA, CA
Partner
Nav Gill is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 15 years of tax, accounting and assurance experience. Nav obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia and has worked with Mid Size and Big 4 accounting firms. In 2016, Nav acquired an accounting practice of a retiring, well-known, and established Chartered Professional Accountant in Vancouver. In 2017, he and Faizal joined forces and started Encompass.
At Encompass, Nav provides assurance, accounting, tax, and consulting services for a diverse portfolio of private clients. He’s known for his depth of experience in working with private companies and individuals, such as medical professionals. Nav prides himself on combining personal, corporate and estate planning to give his clients comprehensive solutions that fit their needs.
In addition to his work at Encompass, Nav has served as a finance specialist with the BC Real Estate Association and was on the Board of Directors for the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Faizal Valli, CPA, CA
Partner
Faizal Valli graduated with honours from Simon Fraser University and has completed the CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course. Throughout his career at both small and major international accounting firms, he has worked with individuals and private companies in varying industries, domestic and international. After several progressive roles spanning 15 years, Faizal decided to start his own practice. Several months later, he reconnected with Nav Gill and the two of them started Encompass.
At the firm, Faizal offers tax advisory, business and accounting services to private Canadian corporations and their owner/managers. He takes a holistic approach and focuses on corporate, personal and trust tax planning at every stage of a business. He believes in connecting with people personally to understand their needs. He takes unique tax issues and presents the entire picture to make sure his clients understand all the options fully. He helps them really “get it” and then works alongside them to see it through from start to finish.
When Faizal isn’t with clients, he writes articles and presents on various tax topics. In his spare time, he also enjoys hiking, water sports, mountain biking and riding his motorcycle.
